Councillor - Nick Markwell

NICK MARKWELL joined the Parish council as he is interested to know what is happening in the village, and would like to help in any way he can. Nick’s past history involves estate agency for the last fourteen years or so, with a brief interlude as Business Development Manager at The Lady magazine.  Prior to that he worked in hospitality for fourteen years, in pubs, bars and restaurants - running other people's as well as owning two of his own.

Outside interests include rugby – as a long-standing Harlequins supporter for forty years, photography, motor racing of most kinds, but particularly motorbikes – including riding his own, cooking and something his late father would scarcely believe: gardening!

Nick’s areas of responsibility on Parish Council include assisting Michael Rayner on railway liaison with the Mid Norfolk Railway, as well as assisting Tom Fitzalan Howard with the areas of Street Lighting and Prince William Wood and is also a Tree Warden.
